Appointment of Employee Representatives
The Fund will also look to appoint employee representatives to the Local Pension Committee and the Local Pension Board, which are open to applications (see the documents below for further information on the roles). The employee representatives who are appointed (who must be current contributors, deferred members or pensioner members of the pension fund), will then be invited to attend meetings of the Board / Committee to which they are appointed.
There are also positions for reserve employee representatives on the Board and Committee. Reserve representatives are asked to attend meetings in the absence of an appointed representative. Please indicate whether you would like to sit on the Board or Committee when submitting a nomination.
Each candidate should be nominated in writing or via email, stating his or her full name and post, signed by the person proposing the nomination and a seconder, who must both be members of the Fund. The nomination should state whether it is for the Local Pension Committee or the Local Pension Board.
These nominations should be sent to the Chief Executive, Democratic Services, Leicestershire County Council, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA or democracy@leics.gov.uk by Monday 17 November 2025. Where there are multiple nominations, there will be a vote at the Annual General Meeting.
