Important Notice to all Employers: McCloud/Sargeant Judgement update
Further to Employer Bulletin Issue 12, dated 1 September 2020, I wanted to provide an update on the current position regarding the McCloud exercise.
At the time of writing, I have not yet been provided with any further information regarding the outcome of the proposed remedy following the public consultation that ended on 8 October 2020. However, I can provide you with an updated timeline for the provision of the data to the Pensions Section.
For the avoidance of doubt, please note that you will need to provide details of any hours changes for your scheme members, both active and leavers who were in the LGPS during the periods stated below, including any full-time members who were previously part time, or vice versa.
The timeline for the submission of data for any hours changes and service breaks are:
