The Leicestershire County Council Pension Fund will hold its Annual General Meeting on Monday 14 December 2026 at 12.00 noon, in the Council Chamber at County Hall. The meeting is open to all members of the Leicestershire County Council Pension Fund, including active contributors, deferred members and pensioners.

The agenda covers the Fund’s Annual Report for 2025/26, which will include a presentation by the Director of Corporate Resources and other officers involved in the running of the Fund, followed by a Q&A Session and the Local Pension Board’s Annual Report. If you want to receive further information, please email democracy@leics.gov.uk.

Appointment of Employee Representatives

Send in nominations by 16 November 2026

The Fund will also look to appoint employee representatives to the Local Pension Committee and Local Pension Board, which are open to applications (further information in the documents below). The employee representatives who are appointed (who must be current contributors, deferred members or pensioner members of the pension fund), will then be invited to attend meetings of the Board / Committee to which they are appointed. There are also positions for a reserve employee representative on the Board / Committee to be appointed to. Reserve representatives are asked to attend meetings in the absence of an appointed representative. Please indicate whether you would like to sit on the Board or Committee when submitting nomination forms. It would be prudent before applying to check if your employer (if employed) would release you from work to attend meetings and undertake training.

If you would like further information or have any questions on either of the roles please feel free to contact Angie.Smith@leics.gov.uk. Each candidate should be nominated in writing or via email, stating their full name and post, signed by the person proposing the nomination and a seconder, who must both be members of the Fund. The nomination should state whether it is for the Local Pension Committee or the Local Pension Board. These nominations should be sent to the Department of Public Health, Communities, Law and Governance, Democratic Services, Leicestershire County Council, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA or democracy@leics.gov.uk  by Monday 16 November. Where there are multiple nominations, there will be a vote at the AGM.
